If you’re ever in Brightlingsea for the Late Night Christmas Shopping event, you’re in for a treat!
Having never attended the event before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. How many stalls would there be? And what kind? The answers I found were LOTS and everything!!
As we’re situated at number 1 High Street, I only had to open my door to see a street buzzing with happy shoppers, perusing the stalls selling everything from Christmas decorations, to candy floss, to windows! I popped into SO Nails on Queen Street, where owner Sarah was busy giving demonstrations (and bubbly!), and managed to resist buying ALL of the gift sets from Bumbles Greengrocer.
Three of my favourite Brightlingsea shops were bustling with customers. Little Boat Gifts on New Street, and Aunt Emily and Vintique on the High Street. If you’re ever on the hunt for unique, beautiful gifts and ornaments, these shops are an absolute must.
Finally I headed to the YMCA where a series of incredible craft stalls were set up. Catching my eye in particular were the fantastic decoupage work of ‘Dream of Decoupage’, and the beautiful book ornaments from ‘Button Book Folds’. But finally I settled on buying simply some Christmas cards from local artist Paula Webb.
All in all, an absolutely fantastic event. Brightlingsea Business Association have done themselves proud and I genuinely can’t wait until next year.
